Mr. Nicholas Van Deusen, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 5th, 2017, at the age of 80.
Nick was born to parents Glyndon and Ruth Van Deusen on February 7, 1937 in Rochester, New York. Nick graduated with a B.A. from Williams College. After serving briefly in the US Army, Nick followed his passion and began work as an on-air personality for a classical music radio station in Indianapolis. He went on to have a career in the insurance industry. Upon retirement, Nick travelled frequently, always in search of a gourmet meal and a great bottle of wine.
Nick is survived by his sister Nancy Yates; son, Philip Van Deusen, daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Ethan Flynn; and three loving grandchildren, Henry, Tommy, and Mia Flynn.
A memorial will take place on Saturday, September 9th at 2:00 p.m. at Traditions at Solana (7721 Battery Pointe Way, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240), in the chapel on the 3rd floor of the facility. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Nick’s life.

Nick was in underwriting at Anthem when I first started my career with the company. He is one who taught me the business. Extremely fair, incredibly smart and quite the debater. I feel blessed to have known him.
